My NMFSH experiences

Well I got my first Busse blade back shortly after SantaGanzaa the NMFSH!

This being my first Busse I don't have much experience with other models although I do have a 1311 which I bought shortly after from a good fella on the exchange. Naturally the 1311 is a better chopper and a bit more comfortable too. However the NMFSH holds its own. I find it very comfortable and its up for any task. Its been my fireside friend during the end of winter and split its fair share of wood. Since then its also went out 2 camping trips. Here are some pictures of its current state.

Overall I love my NMFSH. Its a been a great 1st Busse for me and has only left me wanting more. I think its a pretty versatile blade. Sure its big but it hasn't been that uncomfortable for me toting around outside I carry it right on my side and with an open spine sheath she draws easy. Its a good compromise for being able to handle the big tasks but not be to large where ya don't feel like lugging it around. Now I need a 5 inch or smaller Busse soon to compliment the NMFSH.

I like wearing the coating off as it kinda tells a little story of the blade. And gives ya something to shoot for in a way. But that as I use it that steel underneath is looking awfully pretty haha its gonna get tempting to strip the coating after awhile.

What's Up brother, great write up... I recently received MY CGFSH from the SANTAGANZA!! ( that is one thing about BUSSE'S, You must be very Patient) anyway I was debating on keeping her a queen or beating her like the rest!:eek::eek: No queens here, You've got to earn your keep!!:D
anyway she needs some pants and the sheath set up you described sounds interesting, you got any pics ? also who makes it, wait time etc....
Love the battle scars on her:thumbup: althought they look good stripped as well

Thanks Gixxerman! The sheath is from David Brown. Buy Brown sheaths. I believe he offered a sale on NMFSH sheaths awhile back. Just a basic open spine sheath with a Tec Lok belt Ill try and get the wife to help me take some pics of it tonight and post em up.
 
Man...you really beat the snot out of that beast. Good work brother.
Gotta love that Red and Black G-10. It looks great.
 
Makes me want another NMFSH since I sold my NMFSH LE a couple months back...damn!!! :(
