Fellow Hogs,

A heart that beats on is a miracle of life. A Steel Heart that you beat on is a miracle of INFI. Now a Nuclear Meltdown Fusion Steel Heart Fatty is just a world wonder. This thing is a real beast. It's specs are damn near ridiculous. I'd compare this knife to a pry bar -- but that would do the knife a disservice since its stronger than any pry bar I own. I had the pleasure of picking this piece of INFI beauty from a fellow forum member on the exchange. Here's this monster all alone and with its fellow Steel Hearts.

Specs:

Same as a regular NMFSH except it's .37 inches thick and weighs a little over 33 oz.

Awesome score! I love my fatty NMFSH, it packs one heck of punch and makes my LE feel downright fragile. You have got to love SUPER thick INFI

Heck yea brother!! I love it -- I'm going to sharpen it up on my wicked edge and take her to task! ;)

Ahhhh very nice, hang on to that one!

The fat NMFSH was my first Busse...

*I don't even have any pics left except the one from T's site when I bought it. I miss it :(

Congrats what a nice piece. I really torn in what I want next this does not help. One more time you have manage to confuse me. I got the ASH-1 0.22 because of your pictures last month. Now I am think a anniversary Battle or really I should get a MOABOLO. But looking at your pictures make me rethink.

This is one of those rare moments where it gives me great pleasure to confuse you!! Well let me break it down like this:

11 inch chopper:
Light Weight: B11
Middle Weight: ASHBM (Choiless)
HEAVY Weight: MOABOLO

9 inch Busse:
Light Weight: B9
Middle Weight: NMFSH
HEAVY Weight: NMFSH Fatty

Rob where would you put the current BM anniversary on the 11 inch chopper group? I was thinking that was also an alternative. I have a NMSFNO coming hopefully in a few weeks. So I really was looking for the bigger chopper to replace an 11" tool steel home brewed machete/chopper that I use around here.

Hey brother -- so here's my personal assessment:

The current Battle Mistress offering is the ASHBM with choil. It weighs around 27 oz with a .32 spine and a full flat grind. This basically makes it a very quick knife that bites really deep. I think it is one of the best knives the company has released in terms of design and functionality. It's definitely not king of the choppers -- but it's one of the best and one of the nicest weight to performance ratios found in a 11 inch knife. It's funny but my first 2 knives were a NMSFNO and a ASHBM. Hope that helps -- I highly recommend trying it out if you have the cash.

Congrats Rob!

I gotta have that first one! Wow, that is awesome!! Lucky Tyrade

A question for the Hogs!

Can we get a Fatty in Satin? Or are they only available in coated blades?

I guess you could through the custom shop but youde have to have a really thick blade to start with to grind down to satin. the CS fat Ash I have is satin

Congrats Rob!

I'm not quite as lucky as it would appear. I did a scale swap with a CGFBM for the NMFFSH. The standard thickness scales feel much better to me on a knife made from this thick stock. An added bonus was the snakeskin :D

DaZ403: I'm pretty sure the fatties only came coated. I've never seen one in satin or DCBB
