my post-blade wait is over and woooo hooooo was it worth it!
i just got this in friday from mike and well...take a look!
his large frame-lock with 3 7/8" s30v blade..i asked mike to "unslick" the handles as i felt the smooth ti handles were too slippery...here is his solution!
thanks mike for a great conversation and even better knife!
kit should be PROUD, buddy!
forgive the poor picture quality..

Very cool !

The scales. . .are kinda. . .quasi. . .Mayo. :D

Which ain't a bad thing. ;)

yepper..
i asked mike NOT to drill through the ti. handles ala daddy-in-law kit or the mayo monster.. as i wanted to keep it solid with a little heft!

That knife has such a beautifully balanced and solid look. I have always liked folders that have a handle that is narrower than the blade. I really like this knife.

I like the effect, a clean and simple pattern that goes well with the knife. Good job!

UD!
Nice! Reminds me of another one in the hood. Where did ya get the idea for the dimples?:p

(I talked to Mike yesterday--he spilt the beans:D )

Barry,
i can only take credit for showing my knife..talked to mike at blade and asked him to do something to break up the smooth handles on mine..i mentioned a "moon crater" effect but this was what i got instead..NO COMPLAINTS..:D

Underdog,
Mike asked me and I told him to use the anvil and a welding chipping hammer and just whack it a few hundred times..Getting to where that guy just doesn't listen to my sound advice anymore :)
BTW, I really liked the looks of it.

Mr. Carson,
he certainly has an eye for style..i love this knife and all the guys around the department thought it was REALLY cool..:D
