While I search for CPM 10V blank in garage I found my old Leiky knife I made of Lauri Leuku blade (UHB17VA carbon steel). I made it in about 2002-2003. I resharpen it, clean the blade a little bit and make photoes:

It is my 13th knife - handle is stacked Bubinga.

Thanks, Vassili.

It's pretty Vassili. Definitely something to be proud of.

The wood is gorgeous.

Wow! That is one good looking leiku there, never even seen one like that (and I live in finland). Most of leikus and puukko handles are made of white wood wich I don't like.

I got Lauri blade from Brisa.fi - I guess it will be easyer for you to get it from Finland then for me from California. And while bubinga dos not grow in Finland your makers use arctic birch, but Brisa are selling Bubinga blocks now also.

If it is true that all Finnish are skilled woodworkers by nature - I think you can make one for youself as I did (and I am not Finnish) ;)

Thanks, Vassili
