Back in school, I used to live with a couple of these USAF PJs. Amazing people, really touched my life in a great way.

One of the guys was named Pat, a big, very strong physcially, and loud guy. Think Bill Burr with military length red hair and less aggressive but just as obnoxious and funny. And Bill Burr on steroids (Pat was not, just a big strong guy).
Anyway, we'd tease him a little from time to time calling this extremely masculine dude, "Patina".

Now that I am into pocket knives, I keep laughing, thinking of him, and looking at steel.

At first, I thought that you were going to say that Pat's wife was named Tina and hence the compound name. My wife's uncle and aunt are named Eugene and Ina, we call them Eugina.

Stefan + Anna= Stefanna, Lisi + Ollie= Loli... I call two of my nephews back in Europe, Fetzen and Schädl (very, very loosely translated that's Goof and Ball).
