My Oldschool Collection!

Afternoon gents! It has taken me a long time and a lot of patience to find these 4 beauties. I have a huge appreciation for the oldschool Swamp Rat knives. Unique designs, excellent steel, and the old school Rats had a much different personality than that of the Busse combat lineup; more of a survival & utility feel IMHO. I cherish these oldies just as much as my straight handle Busses Just wanted to share some stoke and some pictures! Although the pictures are crap, I hope you enjoy regardless. Well I have the original Weiler and just scored the Mastiff off the exchange (arrives today). That was my grail SwampRat, now I really want a SAR Rat. As for using them I haven't used my Weiler hard yet, only light chopping, the Mastiff that is coming in looks like it has been used a little so I will end up beating on both of them. Great looking pics, congrats a great family of Rats. I think since Busse is rolling out old school the Swamp should do the same :thumbup: Retro Series Rats

Nice Collection!

My Mastiff is my main chopper and it shows. I stripped it as soon as I got it and wailed the tar out of it. The patina is coming along, but slower than I had thought it would. Guess the Flitz I used on it at the beginning is slowing things down a bit.

I'm lucky enough to have a Weiler and an urban camo SAR. I use the weiler all the time, but I just can't bring myself to mar the finish on the SAR.
