One a day keeps the Doctor away- I have one or two Spydercos, and I'll be posting one of my collection a day.

Just for giggles: In precisely no order apart from how they came out of the storage case-

1 and 2- Enduras
An early model with the Patent stamps in the clip and a more recent VG10 E4 with various improvements.

No.3 Farid K2
Got to meet the man himself in Amsterdam last year- Farid Mehr- and I have to say he's both a gent and a scholar.
Opens and handles very, very snappily for such a big knife...Definately not one to flip open in the HR office :D
10V is wonderfully slicey too.
Tiny bit of lock-stick on mine, fixed with the occasional bit of pencil lead on the lockface.

No.4 Large Lum Chinese
Big knife, hangs in the hand nicely with curve to the handle.
Really good at food prep- wide FFG blade in VG10 is excellent for slicing veg and mashing garlic.

No.5 and 6 Polizei
Top one is unusual- dates from 99 or 2000- G10 single liner Civilian style, no Boye dent, full flat grind and a 'sterile' (no Police) blade.
Bottom one is- for me- the classic Spyderco
Both in VG10

No.7 and 8. A brace of Civilians

Why do I need two?- One is semi-gifted to the wife, and lives under her pillow when I'm away on business.

One is ATS-55 and has Phillips head hardware.
The other is a newer version with Torx/Star head hardware and VG10 blade
Both show the classic single liner build and either would be my choice in real rolling-around-in-the-mud SHTF situation.

No.9 Valloton.

Big thick blade and a wide, rounded, handle- fit and finish is amazing, polished G10 is becoming my favourite material (you are missing out if you avoid the Taichung made Spydercos. Seriously).
A more butch Gent's folder.

Gayle Bradley

Forced the patina myself and added the carbon fibre clip- carbon steel, carbon fibre.
Really weighty in the hand and made me fall in love with M4 steel.

No.11 & 12 Brace of D'alarras.

Introduced me to the ball-bearing lock- super slick folders despite the size (and they are big knives).
The 3-D FRN grip and full steel make for a super-solid feeling knife with no hotspots on long cutting chores. The straight-edge wharncliffe was my go-to knife for cardboard box destruction during the house move and didn't miss a beat.

Hi

Great to see another UK Spyderco fan :)

Enjoying your posts - may have to go and dust off my collection and get some new pics.............

No.13 Dyad Sprint run.
The knife for those that can never choose between a plain edge and a serrated edge ;)
The bright VG10 looks super classy against the pale grey G10.
The plain edged blade is very, very fine at the tip- superb for detail work- whereas the sheepsfoot serrated edge gives major power on woven materials.

No.14 Yojimbo 2 Custom.

Cuscadi aero-carbon scales and a custom carbon clip.
This thing is so slicey and ergonomic that it makes an excellent EDC knife- the 'box cutter' looks are less likely to freak out the fluffy-bunny-types compared to a Civilian too.
I actually prefer this to the comparably sized yet ubiquitously popular PM2.

No.15 Centofante II
This is the larger, C50 model with the secondary slide lock (What, you thought CRKT thought of that themselves? My poor summer child ;))
Slim, slicey and light- another great gent's folder- and a good antidote to those who mutter 'all Spydercos look alike'
Picked this up for a song at the British Shooting Show last year- in the original white box, with the paperwork.

Oh- and Happy Valentine's Day

No.16 Hungarian
XHP steel is super slicey in this expression- the polished G10 and over fit'n'finish make this something very special.
Lively in the hand- the curve of the handle and the smoothness feel really classy
IMAG4010_zpszwomicsw.jpg

No.17 Szabo folder

The now discontinued lightning strike carbon version- this a massive great beast of a knife.
Not as slick as the rest of the Comp lockers due to 'controlled closure' spring mech for safety- it's a smooth but constant pressure needed to open or close it.
Thick blade, huge handle- it's a pocket filler....though still flat in the pocket.

IMAG4011_zpslpxk0k8a.jpg

No.18 Southard custom.

Custom CNC machined phosphor bronze scale on this deletes the liner and replaces that brown G10. This makes for a seriously weighty all metal folder- the way I like it.

Slick flipper and just about usable hole (though it is quite recessed for those us of the fatter thumb) and the 204p steel comes up nicely sharp. Quite a stout blade too

No.19 Caly 3.5

The Carbon is shiny, the ZDP189 laminate is like a laser and the whole thing just melts into the hand- or disappears into the pocket with the deep carry wire clip....What's not to like?
IMAG4014_zpsytnysbik.jpg

No.20 Assist

This is the model without the glass-breaker and without the 'tooth' on the front of the blade of the current model
