Yes, that spacer stack was introduced somewhere around early 1978, and continued to be used on a regular basis through 1985, with a few shop stragglers still seen in early 1986.
The market runs hot and cold on the old yellow Micarta handled knives. fours years ago it was hot, last year it was hot. This year we put away our yellow handled selling stock after a few lower than expected ebay returns.
Yours is one of the more desirable configurations though, and should bring a decent price. If you should decide to let her go, we (my wife and I) would like to make you an offer to buy.
