Hello
Here is a bad photo of my only Case Pocket Knife (yet). This jack knife was given to me when I was a teenager by my Dad, whom I'm fairly certain bought it new. He is 89 and I showed it to him a month ago and he seemed to recognise it, but was not 100% certain if he bought it new...not that it matters.

Very nice. Your dad has great taste :)

Gotta love that old Case red bone. Can't beat it. Unless, of course, it's also on a knife that your dad gave you. Then it's priceless. Great knife.

Thanks for the comments. Any ideas on the possible age of this knife? The tang stamp reads: CASE XX
USA
My guess is 1960s or close to that?

If the 'CASE XX' is on one line, over 'USA' on the 2nd line, then it'd be a 1965 - 1969 vintage (see 1st pic below). The 'USA' stamping, in fact, was first used on the '65-'69 vintage knives. 1970s knives had a very similar stamp (2nd pic), but also feature the 'dots' below the USA. Ten dots in 1970, subtracting one dot each subsequent year, finishing with one remaining dot in 1979.

1970 - 1979 stamp (9 dots, as shown, indicating 1971 specifically):

Guess it got mess up when I posted? Looks like my guess was right as mid-late 60s production.
