My only complaint

I like all of my Spydies they are well made ergonomically correct, sharpen up great and have a "look" about them. So why this thread? My only complaint with Spydies is the smoothness of opening and the fact that some are to open quickly even after allot of use. Now this seems like it would be an easy fix on Spydies wouldn’t it? Phosphorus bronze washers or something? Any thoughts-ideas?

I think most of the lockbacks doesn't have any washers, so they tend to open rough....
It would be an good idea though, meanwhile try adding something like militec-1 or tuff glide into them.

I use Tuf-Glide and it works well for smoothing up the opening. This is not really a complaint against Spydies as much as its a wish for thing. I love the Spyderco's I own and already have a 2003 wishlist started and I am reallllly looking forward to the ATR and Spyderfly. Just always wished the Spydeis opened a bit smoother and for the cost of washers it would seem easy to accomplish.
