My only small complaint. Provenitor....

This post is only because I'm never fully 100% satisfied with anything. So don't take it personally. (I'm a crabby old man, well, not really) I just recieved the provenitor (I call it the pro-ventilator, for kicks!!). And it's a great knife. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't come to enough of a tip, or the tip just isn't sharp enough. And I do like the kraton on the inside of the clip.

Simply replace that clip with a standard one. I didn' t like mine either. But keep in mind this model was made as a hunter/ skinning folder in mind. The rubber inserted clip is intended to keep the folder steady while in rough country areas. And the tip shape is made with hunters in mind as well. On the other hand, my only complaint is that it does not come in a plain edge! But that' s why there' s the Wegner series...

actually I DO like the rubber inside the clip. Seems easy enough to remove if necessary, though. Makes for a great non-slip money clip.

Nakano - Plain edge on the way.

Endrozen - difficult to make a very sharp point with a drop point design.

Thanks, Sal, that guy who said it was more for hunters helped me to understand this. I think I'll grind my own false edge on it though.....
