Hi all -
Been holding back a while but finally decided to take a few shots of my burgeoning Opinel collection. I never intended it to grow this big. I got the 12 (my first proper knife) after seeing a friend's 8 on a camping trip. It was too big to EDC so I got an 8... and then a 6... and then I was just going to collect the even numbers... lol... well then I ran into a 7 and liked it so much I found another... and you have to try the spear point garden 8 right? I've modded everyone of them. Whittled down the handles to get the line the way I like them and usually charred them or given them a light stain (or both) before a boiled linseed oil soak and sanding to 2000 grit. Well here they are...

Here's the 12 next to the 2 for a size comparison, cute huh?

Some of you may have been scratching your heads about this one. Well its not an opinel at all, but I thought I'd throw it in. Not sure where this came from. The blade stamps says TABOR RESTAURANT STEYR and its a traditional austrian design. Its the finest slicer I've found and seems to be a tad thinner than the Opi.

and finally a patina shot on a vintage opi 7. This one didn't have the notch to lock the blade closed so I filed my own.

Well thats it for now. I have a 10 that should be arriving today then I'll have at least one of each locking Opi. lol. Apologies for not the best pics, still using my phone to take them. Would love to see some of your Opi Choirs as well.
