My Para2 just arrived today, and I couldn't be happier. I have a few other Spyderco's (my favourite manufacturer), and I really wanted to get the PM2 as I've heard it's one of the "must have" Spydercos. I'm completely satisfied thus far, everything looks perfect. Perfect lockup, perfect blade centering, fit and finish are excellent. So, I guess Spyderco has another satisfied customer!!

Here's my unboxing video:

Very much loved mine. Traded it away this week to force myself into finding a sprint run to replace it with.

Enjoy. The Para2 is a great knife. I've had mine for 2 years with no problems. Love the compression lock. Wish Spyderco made more knives with this lock.

nice,i'll tell you what i was told after getting my first PM2,its not going to be your last!but for now please enjoy, its a grate knife.

Congrats on the pickup! Is the PM2 the Greatest Spyderco Tactical OR Greatest Spyderco Tactical?!?

Loving it so far. It's loosened up a little bit, and now I can consistently do the middle finger flick to deploy. It comes open just as fast as the assisted opening Kershaw Leek. I'm so impressed that the lockup is so tight. No blade play in any axis. Spyderco sure made a winner!!

Out of curiosity, how much wear and tear does idly opening and closing a knife put on it? Will it affect lockup? I don't want to wear the knife out sitting on the couch!

I think Rolf means that rather than flicking it open and letting the lock slide over with force, you open with your thumb while your index finger is in the lock cut out acting as a dampener. Thus, when the blade is fully engaged, the lock has gently eased into the locking position instead of slammed.

Those Paras sure are fun to flick though. ;)

Yeah, You should be very happy with it.

Love mine. Black on black. S30V.

Just got some sprint run S35V scales for it. Can't wait to try em on. It was edc work knife till I got an endura. But on weekends my para2 and black on black Manix 2 hang out all weekend long.

Thank you, benchwarmer. Exactly.
Once a folder breaks in, I usually soft-set the lock bar when opening the blade.

Don't think you'll wear it out by flicking it open. Been edcing mine in my left back pocket since I got it a couple months now. I work in an office environment and nobody has even noticed.
