Hello,

I have ordered my BushcraftUK 2nd last saturday.
Six days later it arrived in Paris.

Scar-Bushcraft.jpg

I have found only one crack, so minim, so small, I even don't think I will ever touch it. The hygrometry of my land will do the work and... the knife is destin to be used in the wood. I'm certain it will have other scars.
BTW "Scar" will be its name.

After ten strops on my leather belt, the O1 blade turned into a dangerously sharp tool. The zero scandy ground blade bits deep in the wood. The handle is so confortable you can apply a great amount of force. I don't see how blisters can happen wuth such a great gentle ergonomy.
For those who are hesitating about the knife being a second... I see that discount as almost a gift to spyderfans. The knife is gorgeous, the sheath is sturdy well thought. This is a great bargain.

This beautiful knife is a great tribute to Spyderco permanent research in excellence. This is O1 steel ! On a Spyderco ?! This is almost revolutionnary ! :-)

I like it too but I think you will find most people here can't read Chinese. :p:thumbup:

But I'm certain it was something very nice !:)

I have polished the blade of the Bushcraft. This is the sharpest Spyderco I have ever own.
It cut hairs without to touch the skin !!!
(I won't allow it to touch the skin !)
Just a caress on wood and the bark gently curls !
Amazing !!!

He just said that he likes it, it's not spam or abusive in any way.

O1 is good stuff, I have a couple of blades in O1 and have always been pleased with the performance. Just keep it out the leather sheath and oil the blade when you store it. :)

The sheath of Spyderco Bushcraft would not win a beauty contest but the blade is not in contact with the leather. You can notice a plastic sheath inside !

I remember the leather sheath from the FB01 Moran, (the first edition was convexed) which was the sharpest VG10 knife I have used... The leather sheath was beautiful but once I have resheath the Moran in the wrong way... the sharp blade cut my fingers as it went through the leather. Ouch !!!

There is no such risks with the BushcraftUK sheath as both ways work to resheath the knife and the hidden plastic is a great add.

Quick question for the OP.
You said your ordered it last Saturday. May I ask where you ordered it from? I wouldn't mind getting a few more if they are still available somewhere.

Thanks

Been playing with mine and I'm still amazed how such a thick blade can be such a incredible slicer in wood.
I thought hard wood could had wrapped the edge but no. O1 seems great so far.
I try to test how to resharp it on the back of my sharpmaker but the handle is to big and prevent for sharpening all the blade.
I was able to scratch the bevel but remove the scratch with some stropping.
Was not able to figure if the scandi grind is slightly convex or hollow or flat.
Now it seems convex to me.
Great knife and amazing grind.
I got an little Helle but it's "that" thick.
The Bushcraft give a lot of confidence.
I cannot stop staring at the beautiful handle though....

OK Now. It's just a tool after all. A great instrument is useless if used without knowledge. ;)
Knowledge will be always sharper than the sharpest steel.:D

I bought the knife from Spyderco site.
It was not written as "sold out"...
