Very nice - I take it you're a fan of the older-style Para as well as the new? I just noticed who you are and that I recently subscribed to your YT channel - I enjoy your reviews.

Those are nice looking blades man - I don't know anything about BG-42 steel though - I'm intrigued now.

Chris Reeve used BG-42 on his old Sebenza's, an some people still prefer it to S30V. It has a pretty impressive formula for a steel from before the days of powder metallurgy.

If you want to try something basically in BG-42, Spyderco is releasing a Manix sprint run with an FFG CTS-B75P blade--that's Carpenter's powdered version of BG-42, a steel that, from what I gather, Carpenter made specifically at Spyderco's request.

Zippo--that's a great looking set! I'm really jealous. I have one peel-ply CF knife, and it's the Stretch 2 in CF and ZDP-189. It's too bad I missed out on the S90V and CF Para 2 and Military, I would give my left you-know-what for a set of those 2 and the Manix 2 in the same materials. Seriously.

That is terrific news, I had not remembered that.

Thank you and glad they are entertaining! The old para is still great, but the para two sincerely wins me over. Once you go Para 2 you don't go back. IMO of course. :)

BG-42 is on the softer side in comparison to s30v and s90v from my experience. A good thing sometimes, because it's much easier to sharpen.

Great info guys!
