I moved away from my spydies specifically the delica as my EDC for while. The Bugout kicked them out of my pocket, and it wasn’t the blade steel, performance or weight, it was the lack of a good small deep carry clip.

I know about the aftermarket but titanium can’t beat good spring steel for durability against accidental catching and bending.

I also like a shorter clip and the delicas FRN handles create an issue with short clips due to their Bi-Directional texture.

I sat down today and came up with a solution that puts the delicas back in my pocket and sent my Bugouts packing.

solution: add some resin and create a pad for the deep carry Bugout clip to work on.

Nice job. Deep carry clips aren't my cup of tea, but the resin idea is a cool mod. Did you use some kind of mold to keep the edges square?
 
It’s actually the same resin I use for my grip reductions. It an I house brew and I know it holds up. I just tape it off fill it in and remove the tape. This stuff hardens pretty quick.

Deep carry clips are a must for me on duty as I keep a knife in the same pocket as my duty gun side. Deep clips keep the knife from holster interference and makes it easier to grab.

Off duty I can go either way.

Great mod! I've seen people sand the spot down but this is the first I've seen like this. Deep carry clips are not for me as it makes it harder to access the knife, but if I had other equipment I can see where getting it deeper would be handy.
