My perfect knife has some features it MUST have and some feature that I would prefer it to have.

Must haves:

1. One hand opening and closing. Liner locks and frame locks are prefered but an Axis or something similar is fine also.

2. Belt clip. Point down is prefered.

3. Thin, flat ground blade. No 1/4" thick hollow ground beasts for me!

4. High quality. Higher priced Benchmades and Al Mars are good expamples of what I consider the right amount of quality a good knife should have.

5. Good price. $200 is about all I will pay for a knife because if I lost a $500 knife, I would be too upset.

6. Confortable hanging on my pocket. This going to be an EDC so it shouldn't be too large or heavy.

Things I would prefer it to have if possible:

1. Warncliff or similar type blade. I like to be able to bear down on the point for many tasks.

2. Non-slippery grip. I like a grip that stay in my hand and is confortable.

3. Thumb stud. Holes in the blade are okay but the thumb stud works better for me.

4. Carbon steel. It is rare to find now-a-days but I still like good old carbon in my knives.

I'd reccommend a Benchmade 710HS, it doesn't fit all your criteria. But it does fit quite a few of them. It's an awesome EDC, it's been my main EDC for about 9 months now, and I don't see anything replacing it any time soon.

BM 710, Spyderco Military, or Al Mar Sere 2000.

Any of those three would suit your needs just fine. They are all comparable in quality, but are very different knives. Look at pics and specs of them and if possible hold them in person - then make your decision. Whatever you choose, you can't go wrong with those 3!

BM 806D2 axis AFCK would fill the bill imho, also spyderco ti ATR is cool too.....

Another vote for the Military. Trust me, the hole makes this knife even easier to open than one with a stud. I'd also recommend the A.G. Russell Strikeforce.

I got a William Henry "Spire" a few weeks ago. It's got a 2 3/8" modified Wharncliff blade made of VG-10 and is really well finished. It's less then 150.00 even if you get it straight from WH. It is made in Japan by "Moki" if that makes a difference to you. I've been real happy with it so far.

Mastersmith Ed Caffrey makes a folder fitting every technical feature you need & want, with differential hardened 52100 wharncliffe. I don't know if he still makes, also I cannot remember price but it was excelent deal, I didn't have enough money when they first "hit the market" unfortunately.
Does some body have a link for this? I know many members have it.

I have a CUDA Dominator and it pretty well fits your requirements. I think the edge might be hollow though.
