I've been on the lookout for a lightly used Manix with a plain edge for some time. My intent is to carry the knife so I didn't want a collector's grade sprint (nor did I wish to pay those prices). This week a nice fella put one up and I was able to to make the deal with him. Looking at the picture I do notice it lacks the spyderco emblem but he did say he bought it when it first came out. It does need sharpening but was cared for and is in mint condition. I'm delighted!!

Since I'm in a happy place with all my Sypdie, I thought I'd show off my Spyderco EDC carry collection. I have a Sage I NIB I'm saving and an old Tenacious on shop duty but these are my chosen Spyderco's. I let all the rest go and kept the BEST!!

Thanks for the Manix next to Paramilitary 2 picture! Now I know the Para 2 will fit my hand perfectly.

Congrats Gordon. A Manix pe at a fair price is Hard to find here.

I bought nib a ce Manix on the bay for $142 A couple of years ago... a week

later a nib pe Manix went up for $ 135. I dont use mine as much as I should.

Id like to sell it.

Congrat's! Nice catch.

FWIW, that's certainly possible. Mine is CC#d and has no "bug". For that matter, neither does my CC#d 83mm Manix, so it must have been added relatively late.

The Manix is a great knife, so enjoy it. Real beefy, solid, and I love the full flat grind. I also bought mine used and it has no bug either.

Ive been edc this knife for a while and I have been very happy with it. Mine has jimping on the spine/thumb rest area ,yours appears to be smooth.

Yes that's a PPT. Slick knife and will be buying another when Sal decides to build Sasha's larger version.

I just finished putting a hair popping edge on the Manix. Heck of a knife. One of Erics all time best designs. It always amazes me how easy Spyderco S30V is to sharpen with a sharpmaker. I guess its all about the angles. :)

Well thanks all for the comments. I do intend to use and enjoy this knife. It's found its last home!!

I will say there is one more Spyderco in this year's new production that I have my eye on and that's the Caly 3.5. I'll be adding it to the five when available.

That's interesting, these are the exact same models that I have designated as my most carried, I also have the Stretch in my line up.
I am also waiting for the Caly 3.5 must be Spyder genetics :p

Very nice. By coincidence I just recently scored a C95 myself. It was an early one with unusual jimping so my buddy who is an avid Manix collector asked if I would trade it for foliage green one. I'm no collector and I have way too much black G-10 so I was happy to oblige. :)

The early jimping has been refered to as dinosaur jimping.Good score on the green full size manix.I have one of the early dinosaur manix.I just got it a few months back.

Nice buy, always feel great to bag a knife you've wanted for a long while!

The mini manix has spoken to me for a long time, but my Sage II get a lot of use and carry!

I've been wanting to get a pink manix 2 but have read a lot of people saying the locks no good. Nice set of Spydies you have there.

Nice find......I just picked up a NIB CE Manix(Collector #028) yesterday in a trade at the gun show. Been looking for a new/used Manix for a long time since I stupidly sold/traded a PE and CE that I used to have many years ago. Very nice collection.
