My personalized A.G.Russell UPK

As soon as it arrived, it screamed to be engraved. And I figured if they could fit "A. G. Russell Knives 40th" on the gold anodized version... So here it is, with my initials on it now. :D

I can now see a spot that needs a bit of fixing, but that'll have to wait until later.

Did you take it somewhere or do the work yourself? I've seen a few web sites that allow customers to order engraving at the same time they order their knife. Always thought that would be cool to get. Usually the selection of knife brands is small though.

tarsier, I did it myself with a Dremel and a diamond bit. I spent the better part of an afternoon looking for a font I liked, then working it out on paper before transferring it to the knife. I'd customized a Zippo lighter a while back so it wasn't too horribly scary trying this on the knife. :)

When I try to do things like that with my Dremel, I just end up ruining everything. :(
 
I'm loving the flex-shaft attachment. I don't think I could work that small without it. Every Dremel should come with one as standard equipment.
