My PM2 - S110V has two different shades of burple for the handles. Anyone else notice this on theirs? Not a performance issue, but does bug me on occasions, as the knife is otherwise perfect. Here are pics of each side, taken at the same time and lighting conditions, and with an old cell phone. The one side just looks dull and dirty. The other is lovely and bright. it is very noticeable in the daylight. Does anyone know of any way to even the colors out?

I'd consider myself lucky if I got one like that. Sorta like getting a coin with the wrong mint mark.

Maybe one scale is just drier than the other. Have you tried oiling both? Or at least wetting both and seeing if they even out when wet.

There was a thread on this awhile back. I would return the knife.

Try the wet test to see if the color evens out. If not, send it back. BTW, there are different lots of that G10. Mine is very dark, more like your second photo but not exactly. It is so dark that in a normally lighted room at night it looks deep navy or indigo. Only in daylight do you see how gorgeous the color is.

I will try the wet test tonight.

I did the wet test, hoping that it would brighten up the dull washed out side, but it did not change anything. If anyone has any other ideas, please let me know. While it does bug me, it is not detrimental to the function as a knife, so I doubt that it is a warranty claim, and I hate to send it back for a cosmetic issue.

Maybe I can find another set of handle slabs for it on the exchange.

If I had a set of blurple scales that were even in color, I'd do a straight swap for yours in a heartbeat. To me, it sets the knife apart from others, but that is just me. I'm would think someone else might feel the same way.

Let me know if you get one in the near future.
