My PM3 M390 ruined the Mantra 3 for me.

I really wanted a mantra 3. I think it is a good design. However my PM3 in M390 has me not wanting S30V anymore. I wonder if the Mantra 3 will be produced in another type of steel? The Smock design is just interesting enough to make me buy one. Still not digging the S30V though.
 
Mantra 1 is the best Mantra, and it's M4. Much better than M390.

Even though i have a ZT in 204P and 20CV, i still love my S30V Spyderco PM2 and benchmade mini CR.

S30V is still a great steel.

I’ve been wanting to try out an original Mantra for a while, but I just don’t see them come up very often. I will say that I do and probably always will prefer M390 to S30V, even S35VN doesn’t hold much appeal to me. That doesn’t mean either are bad steels, or that I’ll hold off on a purchase because of the steel. I just know what I like and I absolutely love the way M390 preforms and the steel fits my needs perfectly.
 
Those reduced price mantras didn’t last long. I was thinking about getting another one at the low price but looks like they’re all gone now.

I love mine, flips great, m4 steel, great size.
 
My Para2 with m390 is currently one of my two preferred edc/work knives. Really like my Bradley 1 with m4, but the tendency for corrosion keeps me from using it as a work knife. Can t keep up with the blade maintenance. It s just me.
