Kershaw/ZT is one of my 2 favorite knife companies.

The last couple of months I've been carrying 1 of my ZT's...0300/0302, 0500, 0200, or 0551. Not so much of the 0551 because I like Big knives.

One of my Tyrades will be there some times. I have an Alan Davis custom that weights the same as my 030XX that gets carried too.

I really like big heavy knives and don't feel right if unless I'm carrying a knife More than 6oz.

Let's hear from some big heavy knife knuts.

I guess i qualify as you just listed 3 of my favorite knives, the zt 300, zt 200 and g10 tyrade. Don't be afraid to try the offset, it is a fat and heavy monster too! I also have an ontario xm1 that is heavy but also has the thickest handle scales of any folder i have ever owned or seen, total thickness is a solid 1/4" more than the zt 300, and i just can't carry it comfortably. Then there is the Kabar mule, very heavy but again not nearly as well designed or carryable as the Kershaws.

One reason i love Kershaw is IMO no one makes a more user friendly large knife than them, its what got me started with them in the first place.

Agree on the Offset. The Junkyard Dog isn't a slacker either. The Spec Bump and Boa are a little smaller but not by too much.

No matter what I still want a SOG Fat Cat. A hossom retribution 1 or a Tops 747 sounds great too.

I'm also a heavy knife addict. I just love the solid feel of one and I have no problems carrying one. My cutoff is nothing under 5 ounces. Now this applies to what I call my "large folder" as my slipjoints all weigh under 5 oz's. The ZT0200, and ZT0500 both feel this need for me. My current carry is a large Dozier Workhorse at 9.6 ounces.

Maddog, I have an on/off thing with that Fatcat. I haven't bought one because of the kraton handles. I had a Tomcat that the handles fell off of. If they had made them with micarta/G-10 I would seriously consider it.

Oh yeah, and leave the corner of the liners covered up as it looks really corny to me.

I know, although I have had no problems with my Vulcan. I did have problem with the carbon fiber handles on the jet edge. I do love it is mostly Ti. It can be pimped with g-10 for about $100
