Recon Bowie or Tigershark would be the next logical step. I'm looking seriously at a Tomcat as I like the big lock blade folders. It's only money!
 
New pig hunter, the Tigershark is awesome! The count is now four of my customers have had me sharpen the top front of their knives for hunting pigs. I think this must be a rush-they use just their knive to hunt!! Ditto
 
one day i was at one of my local knife shops and this guy was whingeing that he needed a new pig sticker , as he had stabbed a pig with it , and the pig ran away with his knife still stuck in it , and he never saw the pig again!

WOW.... but I'm thinking if I'm ever crazy enough to hunt pigs with only a knife I'll use my SEAL 2000.

Somehow the Tigershark seems just a tad too big .... 'course maybe the pigs being hunted are monster-sized !!!

A SOG Pentagon!

You've got SOG's big dagger, go for their medium-sized one. It's an absolutely incredible knife, bigger than nearly all "tactical folders", yet small enough to carry comfortably day to day. Super thin needle point (don't go prying with it) gives serious penetration and one edge has frighteningly sharp Spyderco-style serrations to rip through just about anything.

Nothing I've seen on the market comes close. If you do some comparison shopping you can get all that performance for under $50. :)

You're going to love it. If you haven't seen it already, check out Phil Elmore's review here. The article is so positive, you'd almost think it's "hype", but it isn't. From my own experience with the knife, I can personally vouch for his claims. The Pentagon is one of the best designs SOG has ever introduced.
 
yep this sure is an archaeic thread now . i`ve also gone off sog . i won`t be buying anymore , just using the ones i have , and advising people on what they`re like
 
I wouldn't go up to a pig with anything less than a 12Ga slug. I assume you guys got some pig dogs to go with that knife, right?
 
yeah but i have so many of them i might as well use them . i use my seal 2000 pretty hard
