i was at work today, playing with my whirlwind.(only a few customers run away screaming when they see i have a knife).i dropped it on the floor, tip first(i gotta stop doing that,i broke the hot shoe on my camera bast night by dropping it)and it broke of in a matter of factly sort of way.i guess now i can use it as a screwdriver.but what gets me is how easily the tip broke off.it seemed so brittle when it snapped.anyone else have this problem?

What kind of floor was it? How far down is it broken? Bust out the Edge Pro if it isn't that big of a removed tip.

No that didn't happen to me but the torsion bar in my Blackout broke many months ago under NO disstress and I haven't found the cash or time (damn knife buying) to send it back to Kershaw yet. Worse comes to worse just grind it to a short drop point and it will be fine

comrade-it was a tile floor, and its really not a big chip.im just surprised it broke is all.but i will fix the tip, needless to say.

thanks for the responses.

am i still a member??

anyway: i have dropped mine on wood floor (a deck) tip first and it stuck right into the wood.

i let my friend open it and she dropped it tip first in blacktop. it didn't stick in, but it didn't break. she got yelled at.
