Been rather quiet around here of late. Thought I'd share the work of fellow member here Alan Yip Choy. This man has serious talent.
You may recall he did a nice (he calls them drawings) of Yangdu's father Pala which was absolutely amazing.
He also did one for Bookie which was equally cool in every way.

This is every bit as good, cept I'm not quite as good looking as Pala or Bookie. I make up for it in natural charm and owning the goodest curve spine.

He asked for a picture of my department shoulder patch and I knew he was up to something, just didn't know what. Just kind of showed up and I couldn't be happier that it did. Don't hardly feel worthy but it's way cool.

For your viewing pleasure and forgive me I can't take a picture as good as he can draw, I might try again outside with better lighting or something. Amazes me how he can draw somebody and it looks just like them.

I'm in total awe of this man.

Awesome! You look like a badass Wilford Brimley. Eat your Quaker Oats or I'll chop your head off!!

Funny, that's exactly who Yip Choy thought I looked like as he was creating it. I've never made the connection myself but I see it now.
I always thought I was a Steven Segal clone but maybe not so much.

Wow! I can imagine that picture looking down from a wall at the home of your great-grandchildren, some day.

Fantastic! Outstanding!
I'm also glad to know I'm not the only one obsessively checking the forum.

Bawanna, Alan has done you right and you should be very proud of that portrait. I agree with Amigo Steve. Your descendants will be mighty pleased to have Grandpa's strong & protective countenance watching over them. Alan, you done good.

It's obvious that Alan has some serious talent! He can even make Bawanna look good ;)
