My post was removed, allegedly due to the fact that I am selling knives, I would never trade the knives. Change the rules?

I would recommend posting this in the tech support forum, as that's usually the best place to discuss the forum rules.

Ask and see if you could get it moved to the gallery portion. To be honest, the custom forum can be annoyingly finicky about the rules and how the moderators apply them.

There is a new moderator on that forum, maybe he's confused.

Insipid is correct, Tech Support is where "they" want this type of thread.

Anyone who knows anything, knows you don't sell anything, but you make knives. You don't promote your books or articles either. You also give more info and fun knives to the Custom forum than most regulars there.

That's a real shame. You posted some marvelous looking pieces and the knives you made from recycled materials were really impressive.

In the time I've been here makandr has contributed volumes of information to "Bernard Levine's Knife Collecting & Identification" Forum. Posted numerous photos of his massive hoard of knives and never indicated or inferred he sold anything. Looking at the impressive pictures of his huge knife collection it seemed evident he wouldn't part with anything.

I'm the new moderator for that forum, and I was under the impression that makandr was a knife maker and sold his work. While I do know some things, I didn't know that this was the wrong impression until I communicated with him and he let me know what's up. His thread was reinstated and there is no longer an issue.
