My precious up for sale!!! (Swamp Rat)

And I thought it was going to be your RW in which case there would have been an offer! :)

360,

Why couldn't you be left-handed...That is one nice combo.

Was it originally blasted, or did someone do it later?

LOL!...I am left handed with my larger blades. :D

I honestly don't know if it was a factory job or not. If it was not done in the shop, it is the best aftermarket job that I've seen. I've spent a long time drooling over it on SwampShack.com and in a miracle deal managed to get it....

Guess I just need to make some sacrifices to get my first Busse.

Thanks for looking everyone,

:D -360

You know I WOULD. Sadly, recent Rat and HOG purchases of my own have tapped me out pretty thin. I love the first-gen Howlers, too...

Take it somebody--its availability is ruining my weekend. :grumpy:

What's up with the swamp rat pricing? I'm not new to knives but I am at a loss when it comes to Swamp rats. I checked their site and they show the howling rat selling for $88 but you guys are paying $200+. What's up with that. I'm sure your knife is well worth $200 but could you tell me why. Thanks!

Just like a race, it's all in the finish. Some collectables go really high. Limited editions, one ofs, etc. demand what you may call extreme pricing. Others call it market value.

Hope this helps.

Even the standard line goes rather fast in the secondary market due to the supply/demand of the SRKW manufacturing. Unlike a lot of knife lines, you can't go to any number of online discounters to buy the knives - they must be purchased direct.

You have a good point and your thinking is valid. In fact, I have recently complained about the same thing on another knife. I do not like to be a hypocrit.

My thinking went something like this (all guesstimates of course ;) ):

Knife: $90
Double Cut Finish: $15
Custom Sheath : $50
Probable shipping : $8
Probable paypal fees : $12
the "I don't want to get rid of it" fee : $25
:D

In retrospect, I may be letting my emotional attachment to this knife interfere with placing a fair market price on it. It would be better of me to let the purchaser decide.

Withdrawn.
