When I can, I carry a .22 LR with me. It has been stated the .22 is the true survival round and it is certainly capable of filling the pot. Often asked in courses and clinics is how I carry it. From muzzle up to muzzle down to in my hands to on my back, I'm asked all sorts of questions. Here is a quick video response to that question that came up again.

In non-video form, I carry it slung over my non-dominant shoulder with the muzzle down. From this position, I can rotate it up to a shooting position that is extremely stable. Hope this helps!
