..so I got a Koster bushcrafter a couple of days ago and today I took it out for its paces.. ..I went down to the woods, lit myself a fire, pulled up a chunk of maple and went to town for a few hours.. ..the result:
a very rough spoon and a 3 mile walk back bleeding like a stuck pig..
..that's the 3rd bandage out of my handy dandy first aid altoids tin.
..if you look at the middle finger you can see a pretty good scar from when I opened that finger and (ha ha) the finger that is now bandaged up to the bone on a job site.. ..in a way its a good thing that a) Koster's blades are sharp so it was a clean slice and b) the last time I sliced that finger open, I cut the nerves so it doesn't really hurt.
