I just want to share some pics of my lovely knife.

The handle is made of coloured purple camel bone.

I wouldn't go putting any big bets on it originating in New York if I were you ...is there a maker's mark?

well,looks like I've got some bad news for you,it seems you've been taken for a ride mate ...I would be willing to bet my left nut that this is Pakistani origin...several red flags tell me so ...first: I can pretty much guarantee you that any unsigned Damascus knife is from some place ending in -"bad" ,second: I've seen "damascus" like this before (reckon I can almost still read the number plates in there lol) ,third: the use of brass liners and that awful filework,seen it before and that's a sure tell-tale sign of it's origin , as is the use of camel bone...there are some other things as well,but to sum it up,this is a paki knife if I ever seen one....hope you didn't pay more than 30 bucks for it
