So I took a FBM and a FFBM out today, needed to do some much needed yard work and I just wanted to say, I forgot why these things go for so much. I've seen the videos and read the reviews but it's one of those things that when you chop, you learn to appreciate them for them.
Two draw backs though, my shoulders are mad sore. Are all HOGs in shape except me? Why am I the only one that brings it up, wow. I got a good workout in and it's going to be sore for a while, I can feel it already. Don't you worry, the blade can handle anything you throw at it, you just need to be careful not to pull a muscle.
The second drawback is this is not a toy. It's seriously sharp and you should be straight when you do things. Either the FFBM or the FBM are not light little knives, they will cause some serious damage if you chop the wrong things. I don't know if I would drink and use one of these, I could see some serious injuries happen. So think twice, cause the second you lose respect for it, you'll probably get hurt.
This is not the first time I used a FFBM, I have used a FFBM and CGFBM. But I think between the FFBM and the FBM, they each have their advantages. The FFBM had mag grips which start to lose their grips after a while, too thick for my hands but the FBM had standard G10 and being a thinner blade was a better feel. So the FFBM for heavier and thicker things that need chopping, and the FBM for lighter stuff. I'm happy though. I'd rather hire someone else to do it but glad I got the work done and still impressed with the BMs.
No pictures, no videos cause it was work that needed to be done, not a chopoff.
