Hi all,
today I want to introduce you my new Queen Mini Trapper and my old Vespa 200PE (from 1982!)

Just few words about my beloved Vespa: whit her, I have traveled a lot all around Italy, both alone and not (girls, you know), and today I love her just as the first day I saw her

Now, come back to the business, the Queen Trapper it’s a nice small slip joint, two blades, whit Honey Amber Stag Bone handles and nickel silver bolsters. Closed it measures 3 ½ inches.

Half stop, the spring is fairly strong

The “California” blade

Of course, being a Trapper, there is also the “Spey” blade

Fit and finish are quite good, the Queen inlay shield is a nice class touch

A few details, the blade steel is a good D2

Nice engraved blade, ironically I wasn’t in love at all whit it, but now I changed my mind, thanks to Waynorth notes on it

Ciao,
Alfredo

This is a nice treat on (what is here) a miserable, wet, Saturday morning. Lovely knife and a great old Vespa (nearly as old as me ;) ), I'm glad you still have it, makes me want to say Ciao! Thanks Alfredo, hope you and your family have a very happy Christmas :)

The ACSB handles on Queen are some of their best, really grippy, grooved and textured. The D2 once you et it sharp is really rewarding.

That Vespa is fantastic! Real style, no fake, Italian elegance and brio! Quite a lot of kms on the clock too. Gave me a stab of nostalgia. When I was a student and a lot more presentable than I am now, I was given a lift on a Vespa piloted by a very attractive Italian girl around the streets of Milano. Even though the scooter and young woman were both very beautiful, the ride was hair raising in that traffic and with a heavy pack on my back. Fine days:thumbup::D

Thanks Will

Thank guys.

Willgoy: good old memories mate! The sentence "hair raising in that traffic" make me laugh a lot!!

Great looking trapper. Don't see many Vespas in North Louisiana. Come to think of it not that many Queen mini trappers either. Used to be that many dry goods and hardware stores would carry Case, Queen and Schrade store displays. Now you might see Case in a display, or Rough Rider, but not many times Queen. I don't know of anyone around here with Schrade anymore. Of course I live in rural norrth LA, so to get anything other than the basics, then I have to go to Monroe or Shreveport. Generally, I just buy from internet stores because I can put the $25 in gas for the round trip on a better knife.

I find my self wanting a no. 51 jack and a whittler (don't remember the model no. this morning) in cz or ascb.

I remember thinking that about the traffic in Milan in the 70's. Then I went to Rome! :D

Thanks for your comment, guys!

@JackBlack: ahaha Rome is another story in front to Milan, for Rome you NEED a scooter (and strong nerves)! :-)

Beautiful stuff! Thanks once again for sharing your photos with us! :D

Paris on a scooter was quite enough for me

The Queen Mini-Trapper is a fine knife, I have one in Cocobolo
And the Amber bone is lovely

That's a beautiful knife. Looks like that clip blade sharpened up nicely.

Very nice knife. The covers are especially nice.

The Vespa is especially cool. Do they still make them?

This knife could be perfect whitout a few horizontal blade play (some that I hate in a knife).

@Modoc ED: Piaggio still made the Vespa scooter http://www.vespa3v.com/it/ , the feeling of a vintage Vespa is something different of course :-)

Nice knife, LOVE the scoot. As much as I have to admit my better halts 2008 GT200 is a nice smooth scoot, it just doesn't have the personality of the PX. The smell of two stroke smoke is addicting.

Riding Karen's GT200. I love my PX, but this thing is a nice ride.:thumbup::thumbup:

Photo taken by Karen while on my PX riding along side, me giving her friend Bonnie a ride.

Now back to our regular program. :D

Great photos Alfredo & Carl!:thumbup: I too like the Vespa for scootin around.
I have that exact knife Alfredo, I love the Amber Carved bone scales and that size pattern is just handy also. I also came across 1 in carbon steel made by Queen. I like Queens California Clip blade shape, just flows some how.

Thanks For the Pics!

Dave

I love that Queen bone on the handles. It works well for their Lite Hunter fixed blades too.
