Added this guy - a 1X42 number that looks to be homemade with lawnmower wheels?

Ground a little with it but she needs a new belt and a little bolt tightening before I really let into her.

That'll work bud, my first grinder I made after stepping up from a belt sander was made very similar to that, how does it track? I only ask because I had a hard time keeping belts on mine. Looks like you have a good grinder there hope the steel starts flying soon.

That looks like an open motor. May work well for wood, which it looks like it was used for (although that could also clog up the motor I would think), but using it on metal will probably cause big problems if the metal dust goes into the motor...

That can be solved easily with a dust cover, make the box out of plywood andcut some vent holes you can insert a filter into. And if you want to step up air into the box almost all electronics have vent fans. Find an old computer and steal the fan out of it to cool the motor. Kinda a high tech redneck solution but it works well.

Tracking seemed okay, motor has some grunt although it's an old number the plug doesn't even have a ground. I might play around with it a little more tonight, see if I can fit up any of those two inch metal wheels from the other grinder I bought and make a cover out if an old aluminum sign.
