For years i have been looking for an ideal outdoor/camping knife. I
never was quite satisfied with the things i could buy at the local
hardwarestore. So when i read the pages about the late Bob Engnath i
set of on my own quest making my ideal knife. Up to this moment i
finished three knives. You can see them at:

With the last one i am really close to my ideal knife for the outdoors and
camping. I would like to hear your opinion about it, any suggestions
that might lead to an improvement are highly appriciated.

That third knife is absolutely beautiful! I really like your lines and overall design. It looks to be very useful for the tasks you mention and it looks like you've taken a lot of time to get the finish right. Keep 'em coming!

Good looking knives, I like the overall flow, they look realy funtional.

As for reaching your ideal, that is what I believe we are all after, and If I ever make a knife that I am satisfied with, I quit!;)

Keepem' comeing, what's next?

Gerard,
Very nice work. Your knives show excellent progression.
That snakewood is very appealing and I like your maker's mark.
I have always liked the elliptical blade on the DH Russell belt knife. You have executed it very well with a diiferent handle angle.
Good luck on your quest for your ideal knife.
Regards,
Greg
