Right now I'm on a quest to find my "perfect" 9"+ chopper from Ohio. My problem is funds are short, and I want them to "compete" head to head. I've got a Battle Rat and a CGFBM (standard scales) right now. I'm looking to try out a Rat Mastiff and a Rat Daddy as well as possibly a CGFBM with Mag scales. I was wondering if there were any Rats out there in the Southeast (or elsehwere) who would be interested in a get together or exchange/loaner program where we could try out the knives we "think" we'd like to have, before we buy. Maybe like a passaround?
Like I said, I have the following right now for loan/use:
Busse CGFBM
Busse GW (black/DC)
Busse Skeleton Key
SWKRW Rat Shaker I (1/4")
SWKW Howling Rat
SWKW Battle Rat (thru hardenened)
Scrapyard S6
Ranger Knives RD 6
I can't really afford to buy 3 or 4 $300-$500 dollar knives right now, and most individuals won't accept paypal linked to a credit card....
Anyway, thought some other folks might like to "test drive" before they spend all that time and money hunting down the "perfect" knife to discover it's not the "one"..
