My Rainbow Leek is Rattling...

So I was using my rainbow (I'm pretty sure that doesn't matter, but detail is always good) leek the other day to trim some bushes. Afterwards, I noticed when I shook the knife up and down that there was a rattling. I don't really want to take the knife apart because after being used, and not maintained, by my dad then given to and used by me it still has a rock solid lock up. I just don't trust myself enough to risk ruining that. Therefore, I don't know why it's rattling. Has anyone had this? Any idea as to what it could be? Thanks

+1 for 9blades answer, you will find it will start to rattle every few months as it needs the grease replaced. I clean off my torsion bars and the cavity really well with a paper towel and just use a q-tip to rub some new in cavity and on the bar, just don't pack a ton in there or it will ooze out with use and attract more dust. Any viscous grease will work, I use Dow 33 it's just what I had laying around from when I used to play paintball.

I'd take it apart, clean it, lube/grease. It's a surprisingly simple job, and there are a bunch of youtube videos and illustrated guides in case you have any problems.

since you dont want to take your knife apart, you can send it back to kershaw for warranty repair. just follow the steps on there website.
