I called Brigade Quartermasters to see when i was getting my knives and they said it should be around mid Jan. or First of Feb. Does that sound about right or should i just forget about the whole thing and cancel my order all together? I want a Rat and Tak so bad. Can anyone give me some info? These were suppose to be my Christmas presents from my wife.

Since the delay is due to retooling to IMPROVE quality, I'd just sit on it and wait for them to be distributed. Much as I like instant gratification, I'd rather have it right than fast.
cancel your order and go with knifecenter.com. they're usually cheaper and they usually keep what you're looking for in stock. it's where I got my rat 7 and I had it in my hand in three days for 98.00 shipped. if nothing else go with the RC3 and the RC5. Both are still RAT knives, but instead of Ontario RAT..they'yre from RAT Cutlery. But seriously, give knifecenter a look.

--RAT 5 1095 ships JAN 14
--RAT 7 1095 ships first week of Feb
No word on any other models for ship dates. All the 1095 steel knives will go out first so RAT 3 1095 will ship sometime in Feb (I am guessing). Then the progression starts for D2 steel models. Understand that Ontario is starting from zero stock on all RAT knives. No stock has existed since September when production and shipping was stopped. They will get there but the military contracts sometimes take precedent over commercial production. Mike

btw, The Rat Cutlery knives are RC-3, RC-4 and RC-6. The last two are due out at SHOT.
Yep...and before it's over I'll have to own that RC-3. *sigh* I love you guys...but I hate you guys...damn you and your fine cutlery.
Thanks guys and shawn79 I appreciate you checking for me. Im gonna stick to my guns though and just wait on BrigadeQuartermasters till they can get mine to me. I have been doing buisness with them along time and they have always done me good. But thanks anyway. I know im itching to get my two knives but im a big boy,ill wait and make it ok.
