Polished spine....

....goes around the bottom of the handle to the guard.

I love the feel of the knife in hand. The handle is perfect!!!!
I was showing my brother last night and chopped a small (3" dia) tree in less than a dozen blows.
AWESOME knife and a user fo sho!!!!
