I plan to do a review of my RC-6 as soon as I can dedicate some time to put it all together. I just had to get this up here since I had such a great day with the RC-6. I went for a light hike packing only the basics and chanced upon a nice piece of fat wood, prized for its use in fire starting. Lucky I had the RC-6 with me besides my SAK because I was able to field harvest a good amount of nice, quality fat wood, love the smell of this stuff...sweeet:) If I didn't have the RC-6 with me I would have nothing but pictures. When I got home and processed the chunks, I managed to fill a five gallon bucket with the stuff:D I'll be going back for more, you can bet, and I'll be taking the RC-6 with me. The Rat never lost the edge, I batoned, I pried, I cut and sliced. Still sliced paper like the day I took it out of the box.

Great photos! I'm really itching to take my RC-6 out this summer and give it a good workout. I look forward to your full review

Great knives. I love my RC6 as well. I'm looking to pick up a different sheath for it though.

The RC-6 is one mean knife!

Thanks for the write-up AND pics!

Thanks everyone. This fatwood is super saturated and burns quite nicely. I will be going back for more:D

I'll give you credit for identifying that log as fatwood. Unless I knew there was a lot growing in the area, my eyes would have glossed right over it.

Glad to see a RAT getting used and abused, but you're killing me. The 6 is definitely my next edged purchase. Just have to get the $$$ pulled together. Not so easy these days.
