My RC5 arrived today and...

This knife is absolutely beautiful!! Craftsmanship is outstanding!! I got it when I came home for lunch and didn't want to go back to work.

What more can I say other than I made the right choice in the RC5. I pulled it out of the sheath and it snarled.

Isnt the RC5 beautiful, what a great knife! What a robust workhorse. Looking forward to a kydex sheath though for it. I dont know where you bought it from, but I have noticed a few places are charging more & more for these knives.
 
congrats... the RC-5 is a bad a$$ knife...:thumbup: i'll pick one up someday...:o

Actually RAT Fever happened with my RC4, then my Izula, and now the RC5.
They are all really great knives and if I didn't make myself perfectly clear in my post, the RC5 is AWESOME!

Yeah you're right I have seen prices slowly increasing. twowolves.com indicated on their web sight that they will be having a price increase on the 5s.
I purchased mine at Chestnutridgeknifeshop.com. They still have the lowest prices I've seen although you're not talking any mega savings. With the searches I did it seemed that if free shipping was offered then a higher price on the knife was charged and the lower priced knives had higher shipping costs. Savings weren't substantial anywhere I looked. I chose the place I did because he sold me my first RAT. When, however, I find prices that are just stupid low I steer clear.

Ok time to go look at it again. The knife that is :)

Congrats! An RC-5 is a wonderful thing, no matter which of us you got it from.

Best place to buy one right now is from whichever of us has what you need in stock. LOL.

FWIW--RAT Cutlery had issues with their sheath makers--upped their price significantly. So, you will soon see all of the RC5 prices going up.

AND I am not positive about this, but If you like the current sheathing you might want to pick one up. RC is going to be changing their sheathing. I am not sure how long until it will be before the next ones come out.
 
Congrats! I can't decide whether the 5 or 6 is my favorite, all Rat knives are so good:D
 
The Rc-5 was my first RAT and it has always been my favorite. I love the thickness of the blade and it is perfect for any task you throw at it. Enjoy your RAT!! P.S. Got any pics? :)
 
I really like my RC-5, and would like a scaled down version of it. Similar blade and grip profile, but maybe a 4 inch blade length. Not and RC-4, but a smaller RC-5 with a slightly thicker blade than the RC-4. Just dreamin.
 
You guys will like the fact that once we switch over to Kydex sheathing the price should DECREASE on the knife. Sorry about the price increase but this last round of sheaths from Eagle went up drastically.
 
Congrat's on the RC 5, they are awesome. Can't wait to get a Kydex sheath for mine!!

A new Kydex sheath, I guess that's a good enough reason to buy another RC-5 :D !!!!!
 
Mike just called me and said the new Kydex prototype sheath is excellent. It will have adjustable tension on the sheath. The idea is one that LT Wright came up with and we are licensing the idea from LT (Blind Horse) for all the new Kydex sheaths. Yall will love it.

I would really like a Kydex sheath. Will I be able to purchase just the sheath?
