Well I will start by saying that my RC5 is one of my favorite blades. I like everything about the blade, even the sheath however it is not the type of sheath I would wear so I decided to send it off to Jeff over at Rainwalker Creations for some nice leather pants. I asked him for a couple of special options, first off I wanted a pouch big enough to carry my RAT fire kit (which I won't have til next week) and secondly I wanted it ambidextrous. When I am hiking locally I wear my blades on the strong side, when I am up camping I wear a handgun strong side and wear my blades weak side so I wanted a sheath I could carry the blade both ways. For those of you who know Jeff he is an outstanding guy to deal with and his sheaths are absolutely outstanding. Anyway enough of this, on to the pics.

now all I need is to get my firesteel in hand and hit the mountains, thanks for looking

I hope your fire kit fits. That pouch doesnt appear very big in the pictures.
Long enough yes. its the thickness that concerns me.
Great looking sheath though!

Well Jeff had one on hand so I hope it fits as well, I am sure it will, if not then a leatherman will fit in there nicely

Awesome sheath! I've got a leather sheath for my Bark River Bravo-1 on order with Jeff as we speak. I hope it's ready soon. Your pics really boosted my excitement for it!

Nice looking sheath,
:D If you don't mind this is the first thing that popped in my head when I saw it.

Sweet sheath! Just like the original except in Leather. (Ok, maybe not just like it, but you know what I mean)

Great job on that sheath. I like the stock RAT sheaths, but leather has just got class . . .

VERY sweet sheath and knife setup you have there!

Thanks for the pics and congrats!

That's the sheath I want for my RC-5. Does RAT make one? Thanks.

I inquired about that for both the RC5 and RC6, I guess the ones that Sharpshooter did for the RC3 and RC4 weren't sucessful enough to justify a production run for the RC5 or RC6. I love my leather rig from Sharpshooter, carries great. For me, when I carry a blade leather is much more comfortable than kydex and the sheath that comes with the RC5 is a bit too tactical looking for me to wear camping. It is very functional, is a great pack sheath, for me I just wanted leather to carry the blade.

Hi guys, I don't get over here much, I stay pretty busy making pants, when I'm not at my day job...:o

Thanks for the complements on the sheath.:)

The pouch will fit the RAT Firekit (I have one, and used it to make sure the pouch was big enough), with room to spare for a few other things on the side.

I have an RC6 and a couple of Izulas and I liked SB's RC5 so much that I have one of them on the way as well!!! Great knives!!!

Thanks for showing off the sheath SB, I'm glad you like it, have fun with it. ;)

Just drop me an email if I can help anyone with pants, but I am quite busy, so it would take a little time to get to.

Thanks,
RW
