My Recommendations For Improvements

I've noticed a few tiny problems with some of my Kershaws. Not "functional" problems, but things I'd like to see improved. I know that Kershaw listens to its customers, so I give my comments here. What I'd like to see in Kershaw knives...
1. Drill both sides of the handles so the pocket clip can be used left-handed also. I'm left-handed and I have a tough time pulling the knife out of my right pocket, transferring it to my left hand, and then deploying the blade to use it.
2. Hollow grind is okay, but flat ground or convex is much better :-)
3. Make the lanyard hole easier to get a lanyard in, especially with the Shallots and Leeks. It took me about 10 minutes to get gutted 550 cord in those babies.
4. A very small complaint: the pocket clip on the JYDII is so big and bulky, it makes me not want to buy the knife just for that reason. The NRG's is better, and I just wish they were interchangeable.

I want a composite blade Shallot :-) The composite Leek has me wanting more.

Thanks for the input JN, really think it's important that we here feedback like this.

Composite Shallot, hmmm...just signed off on one this morning. See how quickly we react to these sorts of requests.;)

Now that's what I call service at it's finest!! :D

Wow, you signed off on one before I even requested it. Great :-)
Now, how about a Leek with grey G-10 or carbon fiber handles, a four-way titanium pocket clip, and a convex-ground composite blade? Please?

Also, while I'm giving feedback...
After using the Needs Work for about four months, I'll say that it's almost the PERFECT knife for landscaping and construction. It opens easily, safely, and quickly. It takes a super-sharp edge and keeps it for a long time. It locks open very quickly and securely. It can be opened and closed with just one hand (just two fingers actually, since I use my index finger to open it and my thumb to close it). It's relatively sheeple-friendly. It has a great blade shape and length for utility work. It's robust enough to endure hard knocks and bumps. My only complaint, and I'm really going far out here, is that I can't clip it to my left pocket. Since I'm left-handed, this is an annoyance for me. But again, it's very close to being the perfect work knife.

Everything I've read about the Skyline says it's a winner. I handled one in the store, but I don't own one. From the feel of it, everything is very well-done. How much would the price shoot up if it were to have the SpeedSafe mechanism added?
I've always loved everything about the Groove, except of course for the grooves. I think that's why I like the Skyline so much.

Fan-***ing-tastic.

P.S. And not to be ungrateful, but we still need an 1840DAM. You know, just to complete the set. ;)

P.P.S. And the ZTNIP (hint, hint).

CB Shallot, eh? Excellent! Is there a big brother in the works for the TIZDP Leek? I can hear the Shallot from here screaming "TIZDP ME!"

Signed off on that as well. Serious.

The CB Shallot will be a 14C28N/ZDP-189 combo.

No delivery dates as of today.

Sweet! TI on the 14C28N/ZDP?

Yeah, if you make a nice Ti handled shallot, I will buy one!! Or maybe two!

It could even be a manual action flipper like a Junkyard Dog!

I have to agree with one point of the original post - reversible pocket clips don't require a lot of additional work, but they mean THE WORLD to us lefties.

This very fact is the reason that I have THREE ZT0300's but I haven't bought a Tyrade yet. I'll probably get one anyway at some point, but the reversible pocket clip is often the differnece between "maybe I'll get it" and "I'm definitely getting one" for a lefty.

It's worth noting - lefties are a small portion of the market, but we are an extremely LOYAL part of the market. We've spent our whole lives being ignored and searching hard for stuff that works, so when a company makes a product that works well for us, we take notice. And we buy.

Any pictures of the design for the CB shallot. Steel combo sounds like a nice choice, I really like zdp-189. While we are at it, any idea of delivery date for the new Lee Williams flipper? I would love a skyline with a higher end steel and ti handle, but I wont hold my breath on that one.

I go out of town for a couple of days and come back to find this!!!:D

Very good news indeed:thumbup:

Thanks for the news, GG.

The OD1 is scheduled for a Sept/Oct delivery A17 (hope JJ doesn't bookmark this).

Any pictures of the design for the CB shallot.
No images as of today, but it will be more of a random pattern like the Leek.

As a "lefty" who is soon to turn 54 years old, I've been kicked under the table for most of my life, so not having "lefty" knives is not that big of a deal to me anymore. It does suck that we are pretty much ignored, but such is life...:(.
