I bought this razor a while back with the intention of restoring it, only to let it sit for a while in my "workstation". I finally started to work on it last week, and completed it this evening. It was a wreck when I got it, with a terrible neglected blade finish and wobbly scales that allowed the blade to come out the bottom. I should have taken a before picture, but hindsight is 20-20.....
I put in probably 20 hours of work getting it into the shape you see in the picture. I hand sanded the blade, and created the scales out of a piece of bubingo wood I bought at woodcraft. I added a piece of birch as the wedge because I thought the color contrast looked good. I think it turned out pretty well! I haven't honed it yet, but will do that tomorrow and then try shaving with it for the first time. It is a Sheffield near wedge, I am looking forward to adding it to my rotation!

Thanks for taking the time to read my post, I wanted to share it with someone since my wife couldn't have cared less
