When I received mine all I could say was WOW! I can't imagine anything it can't handle, and watching you guys thump this one is awesome. Thanks for pics, and thanks for the great knife John

I am headed out to my father-in-law's place today for their town-wide garage sale day, bonfire afterwards. He has a huge lot with a ton of trees and a gnarly old woodpile. Day 1 we will see how she performs in some really basic tasks like getting winged at a tree from as far away as I can throw it and maybe even a bit of fun with a railroad spike from the tracks nearby.

I also want to use it for some actual basics tasks like kitchen prep for the BBQ. I am really impressed with the design, it looks pretty basic in the pics but in hand it is quite impressive. This would be a pretty much perfect traditional woods knife. Also pretty impressed with the condition upon arrival. It has obviously seen some batoning, as the spine is a bit peeled over on one side and the butt end of the handle is slightly dinged up but it really just looks used, not abused. One of the testers must have spent some time sharpening it up because it had a mirror polish to the edge.

Thanks for the opportunity to have some fun!
