Wow. I haven't been here in quite a while.

Anyway, on to the subject. I purchased these boots about 9 months ago as replacements for my Rocky model something or others because they had fallen apart. The Rocky boots were good for the couple of months they lasted, and were comfortable but not waterproof. I paid about $100 for the Magnums at an Army/Navy store, having opted for the extra bucks to get the waterproof storm model. The ones I have are approximately 9" high and I found I liked the higher boot a lot more than my old 6" Rockys. Right away I noticed how light it was, especially considering its size.

I also purchased a magunum zipper kit to allow me to put my boots on a lot faster and easier than having to tie them.(yeah, I know I'm lazy :) ) It was worth the extra ten bucks but I wouldn't purchase it again as it does not allow you to zip the boots up quite tight enough for my taste. The boots were very comfortable from the moment I put them on, and looked good enough. They also held up to their claims and were fully waterproof up to where the tongue was sewn in to the boot, about an inch and a half from the top. I have not noticed a problem with them leaking at all, even after walking though creeks and wearing them in very muddy environments.

Eventually the insoles need to be replaced, this will vary depending on how much you wear them. I am very happy with them, they have held up very well and are still comfortable to wear. If you dont need them to be waterproof then you can save some money and get one of the other models. While I don't think they're as good as Danners, (have yet to try a pair though) they are a great boot for the price and offer an extremely light weight with the durability and style required. The non slip soles seem to help to a degree as well. I give them an 8 out of 10, with the Rocky Alpha forces being somewhere around 5.
