well I receved my sheaths for my sak farmers today from swiss-knife.com. I received the leather ones with the fold over flap. I had thought the lining was red felt, but it seems they were dyed red on the inside (outside were black). very good quality though!!! I also received a notice that my sak book and timekepper are at the post office waiting for me!!!!

I have to say the guys at swiss-knife.com are great!!!! even with the sheaths that they originally sent me were the wrong ones, the new ones they replaced them with (at no charge) would have added up (4ea).

these guys are great!!!! now I am carrying my farmer in a black pouch with my knife chain!!! (classy!!!) ;) It did not take the long time allowed for the economy mail, of course anythings possible, but I would highly recommend anyone order from them. especially since they are the only ones (that I found) carry a book on saks'. :D

Been looking at the "small" book, and sent them an e-mail. Trying to determine if its the same, more or less as the century book. Can you add any insight on this matter?

From what i understand is that some of the material from the Messer book" was used in the small book. They are however not the same. I have the small book and it has some nice history in it. However its really not a collectors book, its more of a swiss army knife "enthusiast" book. Its still a good book to read though. The author in the small book (I believe he's from England) states that some off the info came from the Messer book.

hope this helps,

sincerely John

p.s. I noticed in the dust jacket of the book the retail price is 12 English pounds!!!

Thanks for the info, think I may order this one day soon alon with some other Sak goodies.
