Went to the gun show today, and there was a guy there with a table piled with some old knives. Here's what I came home with:

This Boker Barlow looks old, but I don't know much about it. Is it German made? Pre WW1 or WW2? It's my first Barlow, so I haven't read the long Barlow threads. Maybe I'll get around to posting in the Boker sub forum.
Just wondering is this a rare old find, or a user? Or both? Needs a good cleaning, but it seems to be in great shape:

Next is a three bladed Imperial with some kind of plastic covers (hopefully not cellulose)

And finally a Chicago cutlery serpentine. Probably made by Camillus. It might not seem too exciting, but I have a small collection of Buck 305s, and it would fit right in with the Camillus made ones.

$30 and they were mine. I think I did all right, what do you think?

Actually, out of the knives you purchased I like the Chicago Cutlery the best. It is the most unusual, and I am a sucker for a stockman of any size.

I have a Robert Klaas knife that could be the brother to that one down the the long pull on the main blade. It is a nifty knife that disappears in the pocket until needed.

Great finds! Excellent price!

Robert

Your Boker Barlow will make a fine user. I don't know how to age them, but they aren't particularly rare. Here is mine, given to me by my Papaw about 35 years ago give or take a few. It is shown with his, with a few more miles on it than mine.

Exactly what I was thinking. That Chicago Cutlery stockman is cool. Great finds!!!

The Chicago is actually very cool. My favorite of the three. Very nice finds!

Treasures, for certain.

That Chicago Serpentine also has very nice wood scales, not often seen. I'd guess oak ?

I would guess......brown. Ha ha
At first glance, it didn't look that different than the wood on Buck's imported 300s. (I've always liked the looks of those) But I suppose it's solid, rather than laminated.
