Yep, the Schrade bug hit me fast, but in my defense, I was pre-disposed to it due to my addiction to Busse knives, so I cannot be held responsible for any Schrade purchases I make. It's the disease.

My first affliction

I got the family together for a portrait. A couple of the Anniversary knives didn't show up, so they are not represented.

You like your stockman ,so do I and are my favorite .
Nice set of Old Timers mate .
I like your yellow one with the bomb or is it heritage shield .

The Schrade 897 Uncle Henry has become my new favorite knife (not to be confused with my favorite new knife). The solid construction that sets Schrade apart from many knives, the beauty of the simple design, and the heft of the knife when held, all come together to make the 897UH a knife that I cannot just be content to let set in the safe. I have to hold it and snap the blades. And yes, I have kissed it - just a little peck on the bolster, though.

Meako - Nice group of knives. What is the pattern number on the jigged handled lockback to the left of the green 5OT?

Hi thawk-all it says is what you see -schrade + usa ltd-
it has wonderful 'blue bone' scales as does the stockman next to it- I have not seen many like this but they are very appealling to me. I wonder if the "bone" is bone or delrin. It feels very smooth.I also looked on schrade collectors r us-website but no mention of blue bone there.

It's bone for sure, the Blue Bone series came out near the end in 2004. Quite a few examples are unfinished ones. Yours with no shield could fit in that category. I don't recall seeing the Blue bone in that pattern.

This was the cigar box series. I believe it was a rope cut bone, and yours is not the first blue I've seen jigged. There are some stockman like an 897 floating around from time to time.
