I've never carried more than one knife but I like the idea of carrying a modern and a traditional knife. I was looking at the different offerings of Case and GEC trying to decide which I wanted to go with. I decided on a yellow derlin Sod Buster Jr. There's just something about a yellow Case knife and for me the Sod jr. is even better. This pattern is the first Case I bought with my own money as a kid. Inexpensive, USA made, and it has the MOJO.

Awesome! I had one just like it and gave to a friends son on graduation. BMC your slipping towards slip joints.

Yes, it is a classic. I have one that has Cypress Stump for the handles that a friend made up for me. The best and sharpest knife I own.

I've long thought that MOJO is very important in a pocket knife that is going to be your daily companion. The look, the feel in hand, all are as important as function. What good is a great knife if it's ugly to your eye?

Knives are like ice cream and cars, different flavors for different folks. Some may like the all metal cold efficient looks, while others may want something that invokes an image of a long ago time. I personally don't mind something that may suggest a battered coffee pot by a small campfire, the creak of saddle leather. But personal tastes vary, but MOJO is very important.

Sodbusters have very good MOJO!

MOJO from the Sodo...I'll leave the speechy stuff to others but its good to have another convert to the traditional realm.

Woodrow, great looking shot.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I wish I still had my old buster from when I was a kid. I just got my new Sebenza in the mail today so I'll post a pic of them together. I'm ready for the buster to develop a nice patina.

Using mine to cut turkey 🍗 as we speak. And if a knife dont have the mojo. It goes someone's else. Can't use a knife 🔪 i don't connect to.

I came across this thread today. Funny, I no longer have the Sebenza but I still have my Buster. ;)

My Case soddy got some pocket time this weekend while doing yard work.

Sunday night I decided it needed an EO mod.

BMC. You're not alone. I carried a SM Insingo blade for about 6months. Had various small sebbies over the last few years. When I picked up my old stockman I found in a drawer, it kicked my sebbie out of rotation. Then I picked up a Northwoods Indian River Jack off the Exchange. That was all she wrote. My last sebbie just got traded off for a Fremont Jack + $$. I'm not looking back. If I need to do anything that's so hard-use that a traditional can't handle, then I'll grab a fixed blade and power through. :)

-Cheers.
