My second Big Bear

I just finished this one. These sub-hilts are a lot of work... Look great though.


　

Steel: O1 and L6, twist pattern, about 150 layers


Blade length: about 8"


Blade thickness: just over 1/4"


Handle material: stabilized curly koa


Fittings: 416 stainless

Love it. The damascus really works with the koa, and you positively crushed the big bear profile.

Phillip- I'm no Loveless expert (or anything close!) so I don't know what those that will compare this directly to a Loveless Big Bear will think... But from a regular 'ol joe's perspective... that is an awesome knife! Very very well done!
