Hey all,

I just finished this one. These sub-hilts are a lot of work... Look great though.

Steel: O1 and L6, twist pattern, about 150 layers

Blade length: about 8"

Blade thickness: just over 1/4"

Handle material: stabilized curly koa

Fittings: 416 stainless

Thanks for looking!

that's a quirky but rad looking knife.

Love it. The damascus really works with the koa, and you positively crushed the big bear profile.

Can't believe how versatile you are, man - you just seem to 'get' everything you do.

Really - lovin' it!

Congrats on your latest masterpiece..WOW
Nothing but gorgeous, Phillip !

Phillip, nice to see a subhilt with Damascus, you really pulled it off with this one. Nice work all round!!

Phillip- I'm no Loveless expert (or anything close!) so I don't know what those that will compare this directly to a Loveless Big Bear will think... But from a regular 'ol joe's perspective... that is an awesome knife! Very very well done! :)

Mr. Dave Ellis IS a Loveless expert, so (IMHO) him giving you praise is HUGE.

Great work Phillip! :)
